The Bending Light

The Light bends as
It touches your face,
And travels through
The space
A thousand years
Around the time,
A thousand years
And on.
You smile silently,
And I see a shy
Cosmic ripple
Through the sky.
But sometimes,
I feel the Light
Bend into my ears
And whisper in a slight
Cold breath,
That it’s rays
Touched your face
A thousand years in the Past,
And who knows
In a thousand years
What grows
And what lasts!
